The Manali to Kullu & Naggar Tour is a popular day excursion exploring the heritage, cultural crafts and river adventures of the lower Kullu Valley. Combining the ancient capital of Naggar with the bustling town of Kullu, this circuit offers a blend of historic architecture, local shopping, art galleries and river sports.
Route: Manali ➔ Paragliding Point (Dobhi) ➔ River Rafting Point (Babeli) ➔ Kullu Shawl Factory ➔ Maa Vaishno Devi Temple ➔ Naggar Castle ➔ Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery ➔ Manali (via Left Bank Road)
You travel in a private taxi with a driver for your group. Sedan and SUV options depend on availability and passenger count. Fuel, tolls, parking and any permits should be confirmed with us before travel.
Built around 1460 AD, Naggar Castle is a historic timber-and-stone fortress built in the traditional Kath-Kuni architectural style without using nails or mortar. It offers sweeping views over the Kullu Valley and Beas River.
Yes. Paragliding flights are strictly tandem (flown with an experienced pilot) and river rafting boats are guided by certified helmsmen using mandatory life jackets and helmets.
Cabs typically drive down to Babeli / Dobhi via the Right Bank Road in the morning for rafting and paragliding, visit the Kullu shawl units and Vaishno Devi Temple, then cross over to Naggar via Patlikuhl to return along the peaceful Left Bank Road to Manali.
Both activities operate throughout most of the year except during the monsoon season (mid-July to mid-September), when river rafting and air sports are temporarily banned by the Himachal Pradesh state government for safety.
